Youth Work & Community Practice (with Foundation Year), BA (Hons)

This Youth Work & Community Practice (with Foundation Year) degree is a professionally validated course to help you become a qualified, experienced, and employable youth and community worker.

The Youth Work & Community Practice course is a new, exciting, innovative development taught via block learning, with placement opportunities available throughout the course.

The course is delivered via block learning, making it flexible and achievable for someone working in the field.

You will have the opportunity to study modules relating to young people in sport, or young people’s mental health, in addition to core modules in youth work and community practice making it a relevant and modern course.

The course has been developed closely with the team from CVCL, offering placements and opportunities in over 300 voluntary sector organisations and benefiting from the expertise of a team that has working with the voluntary sector for over twenty years.

PSW Opportunity

  • 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
  • 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

FOR INDIA

  • 60% from all boards
  • Excellence Scholarship - 
    Excellence - 80% in Year XII

FOR NEPAL

  • 62% overall score from all recognised boards.
  • Excellence Scholarship - 
    85% or above in HSC.

FOR BANGLADESH

  • Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) 70% overall score
  • Where a specific subject is required for entry to the degree programme, 60% must be achieved in this subject Or
  • Successful completion of Year 1 Bachelor Degree from a recognised university with an average grade of 55% or above.
  • Excellence Scholarship - 
    85% or above in HEC.

FOR SRI LANKA

  • Sri Lanka General Certificate of Education (Advanced) 60% overall score.
  • Where a specific subject is required for entry to the degree programme, 60% must be achieved in this subject.
  • Excellence Scholarship - 
    Sri Lanka General Certificate of Education (Advanced) 95%.
