Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronic Engineering) (Honours)
Mechatronics blends mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science to design, build, and operate smart machines. You’ll find mechatronic systems in industrial machines, domestic appliances, robots, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
At Curtin, you’ll build a solid foundation in mechanics, electronics, and computer systems, with a practical focus through project-based learning. From your second year, you’ll engage in hands-on projects, culminating in a major design or research project in your final year.
As a Mechatronic Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of mechanical devices and electronic control systems. With rapid advances in automation, such as self-driving vehicles and industrial robotics, your expertise will be in high demand.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
FOR INDIA
- Successful completion of the Indian School Certificate (ISC) awarded by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) with a grade average of at least 70% from the best four subjects OR
- Successful completion of the All India Senior School Certificate/ Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with a grade average of 70% in the best four subjects OR
- Successful completion of the Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded by one of the recognised Higher Secondary Education Boards in India with a grade average of 71% in the best five subjects.
- Prerequisites: Mathematics and Chemistry or Physics
FOR NEPAL
- From 2018 – Successful completion of School Leaving Certificate Examination (Grade XI & XII) awarded by the National Examination Board with at least Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 OR
- Prior to 2018 – Successful completion of Higher Secondary Education Board Examination (HSC) awarded by the Higher Secondary Education Board with at least 75% of the Grand Total score (i.e. 750 out of 1000).
