PSW Opportunity
Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Entry is available to applicants who meet the following conditions:
- A recognised Australian (AQF Level 7) or equivalent Bachelor’s degree or higher
- A minimum of five years of relevant work experience, which includes at least three years of management experience, or significant technical experience; OR
- An Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree (AQF Level 6) or learning equivalent to an AQF Level 6 qualification and at least three years relevant work experience; OR
- Completion of the Graduate Certificate stage at the Institute (or equivalent at a recognised HEP or University).
English Language Requirements
Satisfactory English language proficiency demonstrated by either:
- An English pass level in an Australian Senior Certificate of Education (Year 12) or equivalent; OR
- An Australian diploma of higher qualification: OR
- Attainment of a specified level of achievement in a recognised English language test, such as IELTS (or equivalent) at a score of at least 6.5 (with no individual band score less than 6.0); OR
- TOEFL IBT: Overall score of 75. Section score no less than 17 TOEFL Paper-based 550 or better overall with minimum TWE of 4.5 ; OR
- Pearson Test of English (PTE): Overall score of 54 (no section score less than 46); OR
- University of Cambridge - Advanced (CAE): Total score of 169; OR
- Duolingo: overall 115 with no band less than 110.
- Evidence of satisfactory completion of an accredited tertiary award in English.
English Language Test results are valid for two years from the date of the results up to the date of commencement at the Institute. The most recent test supersedes ALL previous tests.
