Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science
Earn your forensic science degree from one of the longest-running forensic science programs in the United States. EKU boasts a well-established program with an excellent national reputation as one of 18 undergraduate programs accredited by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. You’ll learn how to apply your scientific knowledge to solve real-world chemistry problems in support of investigative work. You will understand the role in the criminal justice system and practice the written and oral communication skills necessary to share your findings with others.

PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Admission Eligibility: All students must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
Standard Admission: 2.5 or higher unweighted high school GPA
Success First Admission: 2.0-2.49 unweighted high school GPA
Demonstrate English language proficiency by one of the following means:
- Credit for English 101 and 102 from an accredited US college or university with a grade of “C” or better
- TOEFL score of 530 (paper based), 195 (computer based) or 71 (Internet based) with no band score below 16
- IELTS score of 6.0 overall with 5.0 or higher in every subject/skill category
- Duolingo English test with a score of 95 or higher
- Japanese students may submit the EIKEN test with a passing score of Pre-1
- ACT scores of English 18 and reading 20
- SAT Evidence Based Reading/Writing score of 510
- Successful completion of the ELS Level 112 Intensive English program in the United State
