JD/LLM
DePaul's JD/LLM (Juris Doctor/Master of Laws) program gives students an opportunity to intensively develop knowledge and practice skills in a specific area of law, earning two degrees in only three years of study (with summer enrollment). DePaul is one of only a few law schools in the nation to offer this accelerated joint degree option, and students in the program may simultaneously earn a JD and LLM, an internationally recognized postgraduate law degree, in one of four areas of concentration:
Health Law
Intellectual Property Law
International Law
Taxation
The JD/LLM program is designed to provide students with advanced training through a personalized educational experience. Students learn directly from and connect with faculty experts in their area of study and are exposed to numerous networking opportunities with alumni and practitioners in the field. Students also benefit from the programs overall flexibility, including customized course schedules and the option to enroll at any time during the JD program. Students may choose to complete a masters thesis or enroll in an intensive writing course to tailor their experience

Results presented on this site represent a three-year average of data for graduates whose status was confirmed as of six months after graduation. In some cases, such as with newer programs, fewer than three years of data is presented.
PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
A graduate applicant is a student who has completed at least a bachelor's degree or an equivalent higher education degree, and is interested in applying for a master's or a PhD program. You are considered an international graduate applicant if you have earned a bachelor’s degree outside of the U.S.
The minimum scores for direct admission are a TOEFL score of 80 (ibt) with all section scores at 17 or higher, or an IELTS score of 6.5, or a Duolingo English Test score of 115 and above, or a Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 53. If your English proficiency scores are below the minimum requirements, you may be considered for conditional admission. Test scores are valid for two years and are official only when received directly from the testing vendor.
