Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Histotechnology (10-month program)
MS in Clinical Laboratory Sciences with a Specialization in Histotechnology (12-month program)
This degree/certificate program is designed to be as flexible and as convenient as possible to provide a schedule that allows students to continue maintaining personal and professional responsibilities while earning their degree/certificate in Histotechnology.
The Histotechnology specialization provides intense training in histotechnology through a combination of lectures, hands-on laboratory experience and clinical internships.
The mission of the Clinical Laboratory Science program with Specialization in Histotechnology is to provide our graduates with skills that will allow them to apply scientific knowledge and collaborate with others using verbal, written and technological skills inherent to health care. We provide students the tools they need to engage in professional practices that adhere to the concepts of integrity, ethics, life-long learning and patient advocacy. This mission aligns with the goals of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Barry University

Job Opportunity Potential
The following are ways to combine a Bachelor of Music (65 credits) or a Bachelor of Arts in Music (39 credits) with other programs within Barry University to increase knowledge and career opportunities within the field of music.
A Bachelor of Music with a minor in Theatre and Dance.
A Bachelor of Music in Education and proceed to apply for teaching certification with its requirements.
A Bachelor of Music or a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a double major or a minor in the following is recommended: Business, Marketing or Management, depending on your specific future interests.
A Bachelor of Music and a minor in psychology or double major in social work. Post graduate work in music therapy is recommended.

PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
An international freshman student is an applicant who is not a citizen or a legal resident alien of the United States and in addition has never attended a college or university; is coming to Barry with less than 12 hours of transferable college credits; or is a high school student with advanced placement and college credits.
May be admitted to Barry University and enrolled in undergraduate-level academic classes:

Must improve English proficiency before being admitted into a undergraduate-level program in Barry University:
