Our Master of Professional Engineering (Electrical) is designed to challenge and extend, assisting you to take your electrical engineering career to the next level.
With our elective-driven degree structure, you can tailor your studies to your specific electrical engineering interests and career goals. Core courses in engineering management and data analytics will formalise and deepen your project management expertise.
A deeply practical degree, you’ll put your learning into practice through capstone design-and-build projects, a major research project and up to 450 hours of industry placement.

Adelaide City, Mount
The campus encompasses precincts at both the east and west ends of the city. Adelaide City Campus – West features cutting-edge creative studios and modern learning spaces, as well as unique facilities like the Architecture Museum and SASA Gallery. Adelaide City – West is also surrounded by live music venues, and borders Adelaide’s biomedical precinct, where significant and groundbreaking medical research occurs.
Mawson Lakes
Adelaide University’s Mawson Lakes Campus is set alongside 114 hectares of wetlands within the world-class Mawson Lakes residential development. Just 12 kilometres and approximately 20 minutes' drive from the city centre, the campus is next to Technology Park, which is home to several global space, technology, and defence companies, many of which have partnered with the University.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must have achieved the following minimum entry requirement and demonstrate they fulfil any prerequisite and essential criteria for admission. In cases where there are more eligible applicants than available places, admission will be competitive with ranks based on the entry criteria.
- A completed 4-year bachelor or bachelor honours degree or higher in a field relevant to the chosen engineering specialisation from a recognised higher education institution.
