This course prepares you to engage in the real world as a creative practitioner. It will give you the knowledge to navigate complex and unfamiliar systems and the insight to create meaningful work that is a positive force for change in the broader community.  

Through research and experimentation, you will learn how to make meaningful work as an innovative and collaborative creative practitioner and understand how your creative and critical knowledge and skills can be applied across community, commercial, and research contexts.  

You will learn the importance of cultural diversity, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, in increasingly globalised creative fields.Psychology is the science of the mind and offers an understanding of human behaviour. The combination of creative arts and psychology could give you a career advantage in either field. You will be equipped to create impactful community programs and improve the health and well being of others. Insights from behavioural science could also help you to tell powerful stories through meaningful art.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

FOR INDIA

  • A completed International Baccalaureate Diploma with at least 30 points. Send your results to QUT through your online IB account. QUTs institution code is 003148.
  • A completed United States of America High School Diploma with an overall grade point average of 3.50 on a 4 scale (where 2 = pass).
  • All India Senior School Certificate academic stream awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with an overall average of 75.00% from the best five academic subjects (two languages and three academic subjects), excluding physical education.
  • An aggregate score of 9 based on the best three A-Level subjects from General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced (A2) Level.

A maximum of two Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level subjects can be counted in place of one A-level subject provided the same subject has not been taken at A level.

  • A or A2 Level: A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1
  • AS or A1 Level: A=2.5, B=2, C=1.5, D=1, E=0.5.

  • Completed an Australian Year 12 qualification and obtained an ATAR that meets (or exceeds) the ATAR acceptance thresholds
  • GED (General Education Development) High School Equivalency Test with four examinations gained 2014 or later with a minimum score of 700.
  • Indian School Certificate academic stream awarded by The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) with a minimum grade average of 75.00% from the best five academic subjects (two languages and three academic subjects), excluding physical education.
  • Intermediate Public Examination, Second Year certificate (Academic Stream) from the Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education with a minimum grade average of 85% from the best five academic subjects (2 languages and 3 academic subjects), excluding physical education.

Senior/Higher Secondary School Certificate/Pre-University certificate from QUT recognised state education board with a minimum grade average of 85.00% from the best five academic subjects (2 languages and 3 academic subjects), excluding physical education.
