Why study PGCert in Coaching at Goldsmiths?

• Why do people think and behave the way they do? How can you use this information to help them be the best they can be? This course will give you the practical skills you need to become an effective coach, but you'll also receive training in the psychological theory that underpins the best coaching. We'll teach you based on the latest research from our experts in the Institute of Management Studies.
• The coaching element of this programme is based upon Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), which is an evidence-based, cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT) that has been widely validated over the past 20 years; and, the leadership development training is based on Transformational Leadership, which has been the most highly evidence-based form of leadership development theory and training for over 30 years. So you'll be learning established methods alongside new theories.
• The course has been designed to be flexible, and to fit around your schedule as much as possible. The majority of teaching is done online, with some workshops and supervisions being delivered face-to-face. 
• You'll gain real-life experience of coaching, taking on clients and working with them for a minimum of six sessions to build your skills and confidence.
