B.SC (HONS) Nursing Studies (Top Up)
This exciting programme enables you to top up previous study with Level 6 modules to achieve a BSc (Hons) degree in as little as a year.
Whether you are a home or international nurse, you will develop your skills in critical thinking, evidence-based practice, analysis and understanding of clinical practice. The programme is designed to develop you clinically, as a research-aware practitioner as well as enabling you to become proficient in education and leading change and quality improvement in practice.
You will:
- Develop your abilities to search for and use evidence for decision making at the point of practice
- Develop your skills and knowledge to become an effective practitioner, leader and partner
- Be supported by a personal tutor
- Have the opportunity to work in the NHS and gain clinical experience (subject to visa restrictions)

PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications and experience
This is a post-qualifying top-up degree programme. All applicants must be qualified nurses (Diploma at Level 5 or equivalent), be registered with the appropriate in-country regulatory body, and have current experience.
Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL)
If you have relevant UK academic credits from modules that you have studied previously at University of Salford or elsewhere, you may be able to apply for Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) and use your existing credits towards the programme.

Undergraduate
The following grades are normally required (exam board in brackets): 50% (West Bengal), 55% (ISC, awarded by CISCE), 60% (CBSE), 65% (all other state boards) for undergraduate study.
