Bachelor of Communications - Journalism Communication and Web Media Specialisation
Journalism: Learn print and broadcast journalism theory and practice. You will learn the professional aspects of journalism practice, the history and economics of the media, social and ethical issues, together with a theoretical understanding of media law and regulation.
Web Media: The Web Media stream provides a pathway to a career in the expanding field of web-based media and communications, from website creation to online community management. The stream emphasises social media and networking, and units involve practical components together with core concepts, giving you the necessary understanding and skills you need in the socially productive and culturally rich online environment.

International students
According to the Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA) and the Ministry of Manpower, international students on Student’s Pass are not permitted to work during the school term or vacation.
PSW Opportunity
- The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
- Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
- They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- Successful completion of the Diploma of Arts and Creative Industries.
- A recognised diploma in related field will be assessed for entry into the second year.
- A local polytechnic diploma in related field will be assessed for entry into the third year.
Other notes
- Local polytechnic diploma qualifications are accepted into the course.
