Make Tarts and Short-Crust Pastries is a 24-hour WSQ programme where participants learn the knowledge and application skills to prepare and bake tarts and short crust pastries using various techniques and be able to apply them to workplace.
PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
This WSQ modular programme introduces candidates to the knowledge and application skills in preparing tarts and short-crust pastries. Topics of study include methods of preparing tarts and short-crust pastries, principles of baking, and techniques for rolling out, folding, shaping, and cutting doughs.

PSW Opportunity
- The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
- Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
- They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
a. Be able to speak, read and write English
b. At least 16 years old or 18 years old for modules with alcohol/spirit modules.
