Diploma in Global Marketing Management with Co-op – HBSO CORe

The Global Marketing Management with Co-op – HBSO CORe diploma program is an international marketing program that combines Sprott Shaws’ relationship with two partners i.e., the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), and Harvard Business School’s HBSO Credential of Readiness (CORe).

This diploma program focuses on the development of business understanding, both domestically and internationally; emphasizing the skills necessary to align processes and resources and to improve communication, productivity and effectiveness.

The students of this program benefit from the partnership with the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT). FITT focuses on the practical aspects of international business, including logistics, nation-by-nation marketing opportunities, trade finance, market entry strategies and international management techniques.

All FITT skills courses meet the standards of international business and trade training as prescribed by the International Association of Trade Training Organizations (IATTO).

Successful completion of all eight FITT skills courses provides the student with a FITT Diploma, accredited by IATTO and satisfies the educational requirement for the CITP (Certified International Trade Professional) designation*.

The second partnership is with the Harvard Business School HBSO Credential of Readiness (CORe) which provides business fundamentals for early-career high potentials and aspiring leaders to improve on the job performance.

The CORe curriculum includes Business Analytics, Economics for Managers and Financial Accounting. Students will complete the three-course HBSO CORe program during the co-op module of their studies.

PSW Opportunity

Eligibility for Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP):
Graduated from a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada.
Desire to stay in Canada temporarily for work.

Important Note:
Graduating from a DLI doesn't automatically qualify you for a PGWP.

Validity of PGWP:
Depends on the length of the study program or the expiry date of your passport, whichever comes first.

Duration of PGWP Based on Study Program Length:
Less than 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials): Not eligible for PGWP.
At least 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials), but less than 2 years: PGWP may be granted for the same length as the study program (e.g., a 9-month program results in a 9-month PGWP).
2 years or more: PGWP may be valid for 3 years.

Completion of Multiple Programs:
PGWP may combine the lengths of each program if:
Each program is PGWP eligible.
Each program is at least 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials) in length.

Important Restriction:
You cannot obtain a PGWP if you already had one after completing an earlier program of study.

• IELTS overall score of 5.5 (minimum); OR
• TOEFL iBT score of 46; OR
• Completion of an ESL program from one of SSC’s partner ESL
schools; OR
• Equivalent on the table listed below
