Public universities generally charge fees between CHF 1,000 and CHF 4,000 each year, depending on the program and university. Private institutions, particularly in business or hospitality, might charge CHF 20,000 to CHF 40,000 or more annually.

Living costs range from CHF 18,000 to CHF 28,000 each year, including living accommodations, food, health insurance, transport, and other personal expenses. Typical living costs are at the upper end of this range in cities like Zurich and Geneva, while the smaller towns are at the lower end.

When arriving in Switzerland, the student must register with local authorities to apply for a residence permit. The residence permit will be renewed each year if the student remains enrolled.
