Enter the data science and machine learning workforce as a competent data professional with skills in machine learning, predictive analytics, applied statistics, big data technologies, and cloud computing.
Data science is the study of data and how individuals and organizations can extract value from data to make accurate predictions and actionable decisions. The ability to do this in the face of massive quantities of data and data sets requires a cross-disciplinary knowledge and the application of a range of algorithms and software tools to utilize that knowledge.
The graduates of the M.S. in Data Science degree program will be equipped with the statistical and computational prowess to meet the demands of the industry. They will possess the agility and adaptability to grow as data science professionals as the field evolves.

PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

RMU offers academic scholarships to undergraduate international students at the point of acceptance to the university. Please note, if you do not have a calculated cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, you will be required to provide a NACES Foreign Transcript Evaluation with a calculated U.S. cumulative GPA to be considered for an academic scholarship.
