GEOGRAPHY AND INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (BSC)
If you are interested in the impact of globalisation on international development and how development and globalisation impact on the environment, then this is the degree for you. You will gain a broad understanding of international development, environmental change and globalisation. You will also learn about challenging issues ranging across social and cultural geography, environment and development studies.
This programme is ideal if you want to study development and globalisation at undergraduate level for personal or professional reasons, and want a flexible evening study course that allows you to explore and deepen your interests, without putting your life on hold.
We offer a wide choice of modules that respond to the demands of today's workplace and are linked to the cutting-edge research interests of our staff. You also complete a piece of research or a literature review in an area of special interest to you. This programme gives you the opportunity to study with internationally recognised experts who are defining the field with their groundbreaking research. You will also benefit from our mix of classroom and field-based teaching, including a number of fieldwork opportunities that bring together students to build social and professional networks and develop important skills in data collection and analysis.
