Postgraduate Pathway: Social Policy

How does globalization impact on social welfare provision and planning in different countries? Do issues like poverty and social exclusion, street living and migration need to be culturally and locally specific, or could there be global solutions?
Through this pathway, you’ll explore these and many other issues that will prepare you for a career in social welfare and policy.

The emphasis is on comparative and global analysis, exploring social welfare and planning responses to issues such as street children, criminal justice, and social welfare in areas of political conflict. You’ll have the chance to build and expand on skills relating to policymaking, social sciences, leadership, and strategies of change.
