Graduate Diploma in Strategic Communication
The Graduate Diploma in Strategic Communication focuses on the advanced skill, knowledge and capabilities required to participate in the contemporary global communications environment in industry, government agencies and community organisations. You will develop skills across a range of media relevant to developing sound communication strategy in a global media context. Students will complete core units in digital media, project management and global media, as well as having the opportunity to choose from electives in areas such as media governance, global journalism, marketing, and public communication. The course is intended for those who wish to begin further study so they can proceed to the Master of Strategic Communication or those who would like a shorter course to advance their expertise in communications issues.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
(1) To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—
(a) a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA;
and
(b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent; or
(2) completed a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Communication at UWA.
