Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

• Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
• Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
• Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
• The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

• Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
• Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
• Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
• PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission requirements

Applicants are required to have completed at least a bachelor's degree, or comparable, of an acceptable standard from an approved university or other educational institution. Some degrees may have additional entry requirements, which you can find on the course pages in this guide. Masters degrees by coursework that include a research stream may provide a possible pathway to Ph.D. candidature. 

Mandatory student checks

Any unit which contains work-integrated learning, a community placement, or interaction with the community may require a police check, Working with Children Check, or another check.

Supporting documents

When you apply to Deakin, it’s important to attach all requested supporting documentation, otherwise, your application could be delayed or disallowed.

Remember, most documents need to be certified before you upload them, so give yourself plenty of time to get organized.

Examples of certified copies you’ll need to include:

• award certificates
• academic transcripts
• formal identity papers (e.g. your passport).

Documents in languages other than English will need to be translated. If you’re applying for a scholarship, please also check the specific supporting documents for that application.
