Graduate Diploma of Music
The Master of Music course is a program designed to deepen students’ music and music-related knowledge, skills and capacities in their area of creative interest. Through personalised one-to-one mentoring and expert teaching, students are introduced to research skills related to their creative practice. The carefully curated suite of electives provides students with the opportunity to broaden their skills relevant to the construction of a working portfolio relevant to music industry and community contexts. Students may exit the course after the first 4 units (one year full-time or two years part-time) in order to qualify for a Graduate Diploma of Music.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Successful completion of an accredited undergraduate degree in music or discipline appropriate to chosen focus area. Students may draw upon relevant industry experience to support their application.

In addition to meeting the educational, artistic and academic prerequisites above, international applicants who have not completed an educational qualification in English should provide proof of proficiency in English through internationally recognised tests as IELTS, or through satisfactory completion of an approved course at one of Excelsia’s partner language colleges. Overseas students applying for admission to Excelsia courses must have reached the age of 18 years by the commencement of their studies. Excelsia will not admit overseas students who have not yet reached 18 years of age.
