With RMIT's Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot Training), you'll build the skills to critically review and analyse all aspects of the aviation industry, and learn how to work both individually and in teams to solve real industry issues.
Providing a mix of theory and practical experience, this industry-led degree will equip you with problem solving, communication and leadership skills, preparing you for a career as a professional pilot in this growing industry.
In addition to extensive theory work, this degree includes flight training. This training will assist you to gain a Recreational (RPL), Private (PPL), and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), which enables you to fly commercially within Australia.

The Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot Training) equips you with the skills to not only to become a commercial pilot but also to pursue operational roles in the aviation industry.
Your flight training includes a Recreational, Private, and Commercial pilot licence (RPL/PPL/CPL). These are Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) licences and enable you to fly commercially within Australia.
Graduates of this degree are well-prepared for diverse aviation careers. In addition to flying roles, you'll gain skills in leadership, problem solving and aviation operations that can open opportunities into roles that include:

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- You must have successfully completed a qualification recognised by RMIT as equivalent to the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) with a minimum average of 65%.
