Because it is a field that undergoes constant change, the UW-Whitewater Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Technology explores the transformative power of technology and provides approaches to continued learning and growth. The IT major leads to promising careers for graduates as programmers, network systems or data communication analysts, or information systems developers.
Students have several emphasis options to tailor the degree to their specific area of interest, including Business Analysis, Business Analytics, Information Technology, and Networking and Security.
The IT major with Networking and Security emphasis received the Program of Study Validation from the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity in August 2021. With this recoginition, students graduating from the program can earn a certificate showing they have completed the requirements of a CAE Program of Study.
