Get immersed in the world of social impact practice, policy and research delivered by a team of active social impact practitioners at the Flinders Centre for Social Impact (CSI).

Learn how to apply a social impact mindset to design innovative social impact solutions to real-world scenarios and identify opportunities for creating social impact beyond ‘business as usual’. Expand your capacity to lead transformational change in for-purpose, for-profit and government sectors.

The Graduate Certificate in Social Impact is for professionals and emerging and established leaders seeking to drive and influence social impact.

  • Learn how to apply the principles of social impact to social innovation, service and system design, people-centred solutions, community place-based approaches, social entrepreneurship and governance.

PSW Opportunity

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas and Masters

  • The equivalent of a three-year Australian bachelors degree.
  • Some degrees may require work experience to meet the entry requirements.
  • A reference or statement from the employer will be required.
  • Special requirements apply to the four-year Doctor of Medicine

International students must satisfy our English language proficiency requirements for admission. If your first language is not English you will need to have:

Achieved the required test score for the course you are applying for. The IELTS (Academic) and equivalent scores to meet the various levels are shown in the table below. IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, DET and Cambridge tests must be taken in a registered testing centre; or
Successfully completed an approved secondary or tertiary qualification, taught in the English language in a country where English is the official language or the main language spoken (for up to an overall IELTS of 6.5) with evidence no more than five years old on the proposed date of commencement of the course;
