PgDip Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
If you wish to qualify as a cognitive behavioural therapist this course offers an excellent programme of study. With an emphasis on self-practice and self-reflection, it will enhance your therapy skills and support you during an intensive but rewarding year of study.

Our Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy offers an excellent programme of study for those wishing to qualify as CBT therapists. It is immediately accreditable by the BABCP.
Places on this programme are offered via application for a full-time paid trainee position in a service that is part of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Department of Health initiative. These posts may be advertised on the NHS jobs website or in other local press or provider literature. If you would like more information on the IAPT job roles and terms of employment (these may differ between services), we would recommend contacting local service providers direct. We occasionally accept self-funded applications on this course, you will need to have access to relevant training cases and supervision as part of the course which you will need to find yourself. PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor of Arts/Science/Commerce degree of at least three years duration or Professional Degree (4 years+)
For programmes requiring a 2:2
• 3-year Bachelor's degree (Honours) from an accredited university with a minimum overall average of 55% or CGPA 6.0 out of 10.0 depending on the university
• 3-year Bachelor's degree (Science) from an accredited university with a minimum overall from 55% or CGPA 6.0 out of 10.0 depending on the university
• 4-year Bachelor's degree (Eng/Tech) from an accredited university with a minimum overall average of 55% or CGPA 6.0 out of 10.0 depending on the university.
For postgraduate
IELTS – minimum of 6.5
IELTS Writing – minimum of 6.0
IELTS in all other bands – minimum of 5.5.

We are also able to consider some non-UK English qualifications for entry. The Admissions Team will advise if they are able to accept your English language qualification once you have applied.
We are able to waive the IELTS requirements for the following qualifications:
65% in Standard XII CBSE and ISC English
70% in Standard XII English under the state boards of Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala (For the higher IELTS requirements, the grades required in Standard XII will increase by 5% for each 0.5 increase in IELTS e.g. IELTS 6.5 requires 70% for CBSE and ICSE and 75% for Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.)
We will not accept Medium of Instruction.
