MSc Software Engineering with placement year
This module aims to provide students with an opportunity to undertake a placement in a relevant industrial environment, allowing them to develop their technical and professional skills in a real work setting that complements their academic programme. The main topics of study include activities such as job search, CV and interview preparation to secure a placement. Students will then complete an Industrial Placement at a sponsoring organisation, ideally tailored to their interests and aspirations while meeting the needs of employers. The emphasis is on applying existing knowledge and skills in the workplace and acquiring new professional skills that enhance their overall development. The subject discipline may vary widely, providing students with a diverse range of experiences.

- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Accepted Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with minimum Second Class (2:2) in Computer Science (or equivalent degree with significant maths and computing content).
International Qualifications
We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications
English Language requirements: Overall IELTS 6.0 with minimum 6.0 in writing and speaking, and 5.5 in listening and reading(or recognised equivalent) If you do not meet the academic English language requirements for your course, you may be eligible to enrol onto a pre-sessional English course.
