Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics
The mathematics major provides students with a fundamental foundation in mathematics, preparing them for further study or for careers in education or a wide spectrum of industry. The purpose of the Department of Mathematics is to support the vision and mission of Jessup by equipping its students with quantitative and analytical skills necessary to lead and serve in an increasingly technological world.
Assessment of student outcomes are accomplished primarily through a senior portfolio—a compilation of work from throughout their Jessup experience. The completed portfolio is the final product of the senior seminar class. This seminar serves as the capstone class for the degree and gives students the opportunity to demonstrate verbal and written communication skills, research mathematical topics of interest, and prepare for future employment or advanced studies in mathematics.

PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Additional Requirements: International students may need to provide a copy of their valid passport, official transcripts (possibly evaluated), a personal essay, and potentially TOEFL or IELTS scores.
Financial Support: They will also need to provide a financial support statement, such as a bank statement and sponsor letter.
Age: Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the course's beginning.
On the TOEFL exam the minimum score requirement is a 550 on the paper-based test (PBT) or a 90 on the internet based test (iBT).
