Bachelor of Fine Arts (Studio Art)
The Studio Art, B.F.A., program emphasizes the development of visual language through in-depth study of one or more studio areas. Over the span of the program, you will be exposed to traditional areas of artistic craftsmanship as well as innovative trends and technologies such as courses in animation and digital imaging.
Majors develop professional portfolios to gain entry-level positions in art-related fields or to pursue post-graduate study.
Students cannot earn both the B.A. in Studio Art and the B.F.A. in Studio Art.

Job Opportunity Potential
Our studio art graduates seek careers in many areas. Some become professional artists, such as art directors, web designers, illustrators, graphic designers, photographers, printmakers, painters, sculptors, metalsmiths, and ceramists. Graduates may also go on to graduate school to prepare them to be university faculty, private-sector teachers, art therapists, gallery directors, museum curators, or art critics.
PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
First-year students generally need a state-certified high school diploma or equivalent. They also typically need to have completed four years of English, math, natural science, and social studies in high school, along with a year of fine arts. Transfer students need a minimum GPA of 2.0 in college courses.
