SELC College offers a range of support services to help international students adjust to life in Canada and succeed academically. These services often include orientation programs, academic advising, counseling, help with visa regulations, and sometimes assistance with finding accommodation and part-time jobs. These supports are vital to help you navigate your studies and life in a new country effectively.

If your program was less than 8 months

•    You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.

If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years

•    We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.

For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.

If your program was 2 years or more

•    We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.

If you completed more than 1 program

•    You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.

Each of the programs you completed -

• must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and completion of high school studies and/or commencement of post-secondary studies OR have achieved
• MATURE STUDENT STATUS: 19 years of age

English Language Requirements :

All applicants and registrants, regardless of citizenship status or country of origin, must demonstrate an adequate level of proficiency in English.

There are two ways to meet the English requirement:

1. Complete both of the following:
A) English 10, 11 or 12 or equivalent with a minimum of ‘C’ Grade for proficiency in reading and writing
B) Two years of full-time education in English in an English-speaking country For proficiency in speaking and listening OR

2. Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening by completing one of the following courses or assessments to meet acceptable levels:

• CELPIP : 5
• TOEFL (IBT): 45
• IELTS: 4.5
• CAMBRIDGE : PET
• TOEIC: 600
• DUOLINGO: 65-70
• CAEL: 30-40;
• PTE: 23
• Has successfully reached the Pre-Intermediate Level at SELC Language College
• SELC Career College English Language admission Test 60% minimum.
