Creative Industries - BA

Is it for you?

Creative Industries prepares students for management, leadership and entrepreneurship roles in communication, design, media, entertainment, arts and culture. 

In this interdisciplinary program, you'll learn the fundamentals of creative industry operations — from how to develop creative ideas to business models, to marketing, finance, distribution, legal agreements, technology, design thinking and more. 

You’ll develop a diverse skill set that allows you to move in a variety of directions after graduation and provides you with hands-on experience in the creative fields, including:

  • Design
  • Advertising
  • Live entertainment
  • Fashion
  • Heritage and culture
  • Visual arts

PSW Opportunity

If your program was less than 8 months

  •    You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.

If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years

  •    We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.

For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.

If your program was 2 years or more

  •    We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.

If you completed more than 1 program

  •    You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.

Each of the programs you completed -

  • must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including the following program specific requirements.

Typically, a minimum overall average of 70% establishes eligibility for admission consideration; subject to competition individual programs may require higher prerequisite grades and/or higher overall averages:

  • A minimum grade of 70% or higher will be required in Grade 12 U English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
