Business and Management with Sustainability MSc

MSc Business and Management with Sustainability at Aberdeen Business School follows a contemporary curriculum enabling students from any academic background to transition successfully into challenging managerial careers that recognise the global economic, social and political trends impacting upon ethical and responsible organisational decision making.

By providing a solid grounding in contemporary areas of management with a focus on sustainable finance, the energy transition agenda and policymaking to support sustainable business outcomes, the MSc Business and Management with Sustainability aims to develop graduates that can provide well-researched solutions to strategic challenges in business.

The course helps students establish a skill set that is highly desirable in the global job market. You will be prepared to help formulate, implement, analyse and manage global sustainability practices.

This course is part of the MSc Business and Management programme, giving you the option of studying a 2 year MSc (with work placement).

Each course in the Business and Management programme comprises of a dual award:

A globally recognised Masters qualification
A Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership (level 7) from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI)

Job Opportunity Potential

PLACEMENTS

Optional, paid, 3-month (summer) or 12-month placements can be undertaken in this course. You will be supported by a dedicated Placements Coordinator within the school who oversees the placement module. You will also be assigned a Placement Supervisor who will carry out regular visits to your placement provider and meet with you and your employer. The confidence and experience you could acquire during a placement will make you more employable and put you one step ahead of the competition when you graduate.

PSW Opportunity

  • 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
  • 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Bachelors Degree with a Second Class degree* or an overall average of 55%+ from a recognised institution will be considered for courses which require a 2.2 degree
Universities of Mumbai, Delhi and Calcutta, minimum overall average of 50%
CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) - 10 Point Scale GPA 6.0 or B or 'above average'
Other Point Scale Grading Systems - 4 Point Scale GPA 2.67 or B or 55%, 7 Point Scale GPA 5 or B or 55%
A small number of University postgraduate programmes do require a minimum of second class upper classification, or an equivalent - refer to the relevant course page for more information
