Preparatory Course for Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS)

The Preparatory Course for Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) is designed to prepare international students to sit for the AEIS examination to gain admission into Singapore Government Secondary Schools. Students will be required to take both the English and Mathematics papers where they will be assessed on their English literacy, numeracy and reasoning abilities.

Upon completion of the course, students will sit for the AEIS examination which is a centralised admissions exercise conducted by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore to determine their entrance eligibility into a suitable secondary school in Singapore.

Full-Time Positions (Non-Academic & Academic)

Academic Positions (Part-Time)
Associate Lecturer(s) will be appointed on part-time basis to cater to short-term teaching requirements. After the recruitment process has concluded, the official appointment will take place three (3) to six (6) months prior to the commencement of classes or it will be subject to the availability of teaching classes.

Applicants must possess a recognised University degree. Any other relevant professional qualifications, industry experience and pedagogical training would be advantageous.

PSW Opportunity

  • The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
  • Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
  • They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

For Admissions to Secondary 1 (3 & 6 Months)

Completed at least Year 6 or equivalent 
Minimum age: 12 years old (as at 1st January of the examination year)
Language Proficiency: Year 6 English / Certificate in English (CIE) / Online English Placement Test conducted by MDIS / Achieve score of 75 and above in Duolingo English Test or equivalent
For Admissions to Secondary 2 (3 & 6 Months)

Completed at least Year 7 or equivalent
Minimum age: 13 years old (as at 1st January of the examination year)
Language Proficiency: Year 7 English / Certificate in English (CIE) / Online English Placement Test conducted by MDIS / Achieve score of 75 and above in Duolingo English Test or equivalent
