Fundamental Chocolate Techniques

The course covers various types of ingredients, including their characteristics, functions, and quality indicators, ensuring participants understand the importance of using high-quality ingredients. Participants will also delve into ratios and proportions for accurately measuring ingredients, as well as the application of baker's mathematics, such as baker's percentage and formulas, to achieve precise and consistent results. Techniques for handling knives specifically for pastries will be taught, emphasizing the proper methods, and ensuring safety in the kitchen. The importance of sifting dry ingredients, resting doughs, and brushing off excess flour during folding and turning will be highlighted, as these practices contribute to the overall quality of the final product.
You will also learn about the significance of controlling time and temperature throughout the various stages of preparation, ensuring optimal outcomes. The course addresses common faults in chocolate products and provides strategies for preventing them, allowing participants to troubleshoot and improve their techniques. Finally, you will explore methods of cooling and storing finished chocolates and raw materials, ensuring proper handling and preservation. PSW Opportunity
- The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
- Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
- They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.
