BACHELOR OF BUSINESS IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AND POLITICS AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES (Double Major)
Organisations are looking for ways to expand and operate across international borders. The International Business Major equips you with the skills and experience you need to succeed. As you develop your strategic decision-making abilities, put your cross-cultural skills into practice and explore new ways of thinking, you will build a skill set essential to practically any business operation.
On the other hand, the Politics and International Studies Major will pique your interest if you are actively participating in shaping the local and global forces that affect political institutions and their policies. It will enable you to take up effective roles in local, state, national and international political institutions by developing your deep understanding of real-world political and policy issues, and encourage you to apply your knowledge and skill sets to it.
Students have the option to enrol in either Single or Double Majors.
Graduation & Degree Awarded
Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the programme structure will be awarded the Bachelor of Business in International Business and Politics and International Studies from Murdoch University, Australia.
The Degree will be the same as that awarded to the on-campus graduates in Australia.

PSW Opportunity
- The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
- Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
- They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Academic Requirements
Applicants with a Polytechnic Diploma may be exempted from up to 12 units and can gain entry to Year 2 of the programme. Applicants with a Murdoch University-recognised Kaplan Diploma or a private Diploma may be exempted from up to 8 units and can also gain entry to Year 2 of the programme.
This Degree programme accepts a wide range of qualifications, which includes:
Year 2 Entry
- Kaplan Diploma; OR
- Polytechnic Diploma; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications awarded by other Singapore-registered Private Education Institutions.
Year 1 Entry
Applicants admitted to the Bachelor’s Degree programme may be required to undertake bridging modules to fulfil the prerequisite knowledge.
English language requirement:
Applicants are required to meet the University’s
- An approved Diploma qualification or higher, where the language of instruction was English, OR
- GCE O-Level English Language or Literature in English with Grade C or better; OR
- IELTS 6.0 (with no band below 6.0)*; OR
- Kaplan Diploma in Professional Business English (PBEP) with a score of 75% (Distinction) or higher*; OR
- Any other equivalent English language qualification.
In all cases, the final decision on admission to the programme rests with the university.
*Applicable for international student.
