Degree Entry (Foundation) Programme Engineering / Computing
This programme is designed to provide students with a pathway into an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Computing at the Dubai Campus. It is specifically designed as a foundation programme that will help students to bridge the gap between their school qualifications and the demands of a university degree.
Students who complete the programme successfully will be able to progress directly into the first year of their chosen degree programme.
The programme will help students to develop their subject knowledge whilst providing a firm foundation in IT, research and writing skills, academic English, and assessment and examination techniques.

Entry requirements
We have standard entry requirements for all of our courses that you will have to meet.
British GCE/IGCSE Five Cs (4s)
Indian CBSE/CISCE/NIOS Minimum score of 50%
HSSC Minimum score of 55%
UAE Tawjihiyya Minimum of 68%
US American High School Diploma Minimum of 68%
Africa WASSC (WAEC/NECO) Five C6s
Philippine High School Minimum of 70%
National Curriculum Russian / Kazakhstan (Attestat) Grades of 3
IB – MYP year 11 Grades of 4
IBCP - BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma Pass + SL grades of 4 or IGCSE grades of C (4)
BTEC Level 3 Diploma – Pass
BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma – Pass
All of the above require mandatory subjects in Maths, English and Physics/Chemistry.
Foundation

Undergraduate
Year 1
Management and Design
We require 65% overall in year 12 CBSE/ICSE and other state board examinations with 50% in relevant subjects.
*If you don’t meet the subject-specific requirements, we will consider your case on an individual basis at the discretion of the admissions team.
Engineering
We require 65% overall in year 12 CBSE/ICSE and other state board examinations with minimum 60% in Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry.
Computer Science
We require 65% overall in year 12 CBSE/ICSE and other state board examinations with minimum 60% in Mathematics.
Psychology
We require 70% overall in year 12 CBSE/ICSE and other state board examinations with relevant subjects.
Data Science
We require 65% overall in year 12 CBSE/ICSE and other state board examinations with 65% for Mathematics.
Statistical Data Science
We require 75% overall in year 12 CBSE/ICSE and other state board examinations with 75% for Mathematics.
If you are interested in studying with us but do not meet the entry requirements for degree programmes, we suggest that you consider taking a relevant Foundation Programme. Upon completion, you will be eligible to progress to an eligible undergraduate programme of your choice.
Year 2
Management
We require 75% overall in year 12 CBSE/ICSE and other state board examinations in relevant business subjects.
Engineering
We require 85% overall in year 12 CBSE/ICSE and other state board examinations with a minimum of 80% in Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry.
Computer Science
We require 85% overall in year 12 CBSE/ICSE and other state board examinations with a minimum of 80% in Mathematics.
Psychology
We require 80% overall in year 12 CBSE/ICSE and other state board examinations, including Psychology.
Data Science and Statistical Data Science
We require 85% overall in year 12 CBSE/ICSE and other state board examinations with a minimum of 85% in Mathematics.

Postgraduate
For most subjects we require Second Class Lower (2:2) equivalent with 55% or 5.5 CGPA out of 10 overall in the relevant Undergraduate Degree.
For Robotics and Global Sustainability Engineering we require Second Class Upper (2:1) equivalent with 65% or 6.5 CGPA out of 10 overall in the relevant Undergraduate Degree.
