Ontario College Diploma in Tourism - Travel
If you are interested in a career as an airline/tour reservationist, flight attendant, cruise ship employee, tour guide, tour manager, event planner, travel counselor, hotel/ resort concierge, or any other facet of the tourism industry, this program is for you! This program will help develop skills employers are looking for in a new employee, such as communication, teamwork, computer, and customer service skills. Graduates are prepared to begin entry-level positions in a number of the travel industry sectors.

Downtown
Downtown Campus and include the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts, which is home to the School of Media, Art & Design. It offers students the best view in Southern Ontario - a spectacular riverfront landscape with an unobstructed view of the Detroit skyline, walking paths along the river, sculpture gardens and more.
MediaPlex
Directly south of the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts is the MediaPlex. This unique facility was built to house our "convergence" Journalism, Media Convergence and Public Relations programs. The facility offers a large studio, radio and video editing suites and a central news station for assignment editing. Convergence Journalism provides students with the skills to be proficient journalists in television, radio, print and social media. Our comprehensive Tourism & Travel program is also located in the MediaPlex and offers students a wonderful work/ study program with the Disney College at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This popular element of the program gives students the opportunity to work, live and earn academic credits for the St. Clair College Tourism program, and for Central Michigan University.

Whether you are changing careers or looking for a new job, tourism and travel will offer you a world of possibilities. After completing the two-year program, graduate job opportunities exist with airlines, airports, attractions, car rental companies, convention and meeting centres, cruise lines, government tourism offices, hotels and resorts, online travel providers, rail lines, travel agencies, tour operators and visitor information centres, among others. Tourism and Travel students can work and earn credits through the Disney College Program and the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Student Work Experience Program.
PSW Opportunity
Eligibility for Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP):
Graduated from a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada.
Desire to stay in Canada temporarily for work.
Important Note:
Graduating from a DLI doesn't automatically qualify you for a PGWP.
Validity of PGWP:
Depends on the length of the study program or the expiry date of your passport, whichever comes first.
Duration of PGWP Based on Study Program Length:
Less than 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials): Not eligible for PGWP.
At least 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials), but less than 2 years: PGWP may be granted for the same length as the study program (e.g., a 9-month program results in a 9-month PGWP).
2 years or more: PGWP may be valid for 3 years.
Completion of Multiple Programs:
PGWP may combine the lengths of each program if:
Each program is PGWP eligible.
Each program is at least 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials) in length.
Important Restriction:
You cannot obtain a PGWP if you already had one after completing an earlier program of study.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
For Diploma, Degree and Graduate Certificate Programs
At St. Clair College all courses are taught in English and to be successful in a program, your English communication, listening, comprehension, reading and writing skills must be at a level to meet the demands of your program.
General diploma programs admission requirement for international students are as follows:
Canada & USA: High school diploma and transcript, or equivalent.
British education system: General Certificate of Education showing passes in six (6) academic subjects (including English) at the Ordinary level.
Caribbean countries (English): High school diploma and transcript, or equivalent.
Philippines: High school diploma (Grade 12) and transcript, or equivalent, or High School diploma (Grade 10) and a minimum of one year Post-Secondary education and Transcript.
West Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, etc.): WAEC (or NECO) transcript with online verifying scratch card number and PIN required.
