Chinese Language and Literature

The Dept. of Chinese Language and Literature obtained an establishment license(authorization) from the Education Ministry in September 22, 1979. And then it was prepared for its appearance and established by 40-freshman entrance in March 1980. The 21st-century society is becoming informatization and internationalization at high speed according to IT industrial development. So the society is demanding for experts who handle diverse and internationalized information exactly and swiftly. The department is devoting all its energy to fostering outstanding individuals who meet demands of the society by developing and operating open, internationalized and specialized curriculum and training courses. Notably, for substantive and animated international exchange between Korea and China, it sends all third-year students to Chinese sister schools, Sun Yat-Sen University and Gaheung University and carries out 3+1 commissioned education for a year. This local study is contributing to fostering global applicable individuals by making participants experience and acquire international perspectives as well as Chinese cultures.
