Graduate Certificate of Business Administration
This course provides students with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to pursue further qualifications and/or a career in business and management. The Graduate Certificate of Business Administration addresses a range of areas of study in the context of entrepreneurial activity in organisations, including financial planning and decision-making, strategic marketing, operations management and leadership.
Course description
The Graduate Certificate of Business Administration is designed for students who are looking to build skills as a business manager. The course covers a range of topics relating to aspects of business management and the development of core capabilities required to lead effectively in a rapidly changing business environment. The course provides management skills to allow graduates to undertake management and leadership roles effectively.
The Graduate Certificate of Business Administration forms the first stage in a nested suite of programs consisting of:
- Graduate Certificate of Business Administration (GC-BUSADM4)
- Graduate Diploma of Business Administration (GD-BUSADM4) ^
- Master of Business Administration
- Master of Business Administration (Advanced)
^ Students are unable to enrol directly into the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration but it is available as an exit award.
Students can only take out one masters award from a nested suite.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years

- A recognised bachelor degree or
- a qualification deemed to be equivalent to any of the above.
