School Supervision, M.S.Ed.

Our M.S.Ed. School Supervision program develops requisite supervisory skills as determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and prepares you to function in district-level leadership positions. You will develop cognitive and effective skills in leadership, management and supervision. Our program offers three district-wide certification options.

Graduates of our Master of Science in Education in School Supervision program will be able to:

Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
Understand individual and group dynamics that will enable you to employ the qualities of empathy and respect in making decisions and in working with others.
Our curriculum (Curriculum and Instruction, Pupil Personnel Services, and Special Education or Single Subject) includes a field-based practicum, with guidance from a mentor of a student's choosing, in the mentor's home school or a school in their immediate area.

PSW Opportunity

Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.

Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).

STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

GPA at 3.5 or higher
GPA for prerequisite courses of 3.5 or higher
GRE at 308 or higher. GRE scores must be from last 5 years.

The University requires the following minimum scores* for general admission consideration:
