Security Analyst Undergraduate Certificate

Students who earn the Security Analyst Certificate will be actual fiduciaries of two separate Argo funds and must, accordingly, meet a high standard of participation and engagement. During this process, students will learn how to make real money with real money.

A certificate in security analytics provides you with the data analysis knowledge and skills to succeed in risk assessment and strategic decision-making in the private and public sectors.

As part of the foundation into the field of business analytics, you will learn to identify and analyze key elements in e-business systems fundamentals, business intelligence fundamentals and knowledge management for e-business.

You will complete the certificate program in business analytics with either a course in management science or quantitative models for business decisions.

PSW Opportunity

Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.

Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).

STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Receipt of SAT or ACT Scores Must meet test score admissions requirements as referenced in UWF Regulation 3.042 and UWF Regulation 3.032.
 
For students with fewer than 60+ credit hours, proof of English proficiency is met by ACT or SAT test score admissions requirements as referenced in UWF Regulation 3.042.
 
For students with 60+ credit hours, proof of English proficiency is met by at least one of the following options:
 
At a U.S. college, completed at least 3.0 credit hours with a letter grade of C or higher in English Composition (ENC 1101);
English Proficiency exam qualifying scores, Table A;
Qualifying English and Reading scores from select standardized tests, Table B. Both section subscores must be met; or
Successfully completed IEP program with recommendation from IEP administrator.
