Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

The Bachelor of Business Administration program provides a comprehensive foundation in business principles and advanced knowledge in contemporary business practices. In the program, you will be exposed to the fundamentals of strategic management, accounting, finance, marketing and human resources, preparing you to work effectively with an organization's resources and people.

Our curriculum integrates the latest industry trends and best practices to help you make informed and sustainable business decisions in today’s global marketplace.

The Bachelor of Business Administration program offers interactive learning and networking opportunities such as guest presentations, case analyses, a capstone project (working on a real-world problem with an industry partner), work-integrated learning and Seneca’s Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), working on assignments with students from around the world.

In your final year, you will have the option to choose a specialization to focus on an area that aligns with your career goals:

Accounting — develop in-depth, technical knowledge of financial accounting, cost and managerial accounting, taxation, financial management, auditing and technology applications (Note: this specialization is not accredited by the Chartered Professional Accountants. Students wishing to explore this route should consider Honours Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting & Finance).
Business Management — develop fundamental skills in leadership, strategic planning and project management in various areas of business, such as sales, marketing, finance, etc.
Hospitality, Travel & Tourism — prepare to thrive in the dynamic business environments of hotels, airlines, restaurants and more. Gain practical skills like budget management, project planning and process improvement. You will also access global career opportunities through exclusive Work-Integrated Learning partnerships with industry leaders such as Walt Disney World® Resort and Marriott.
Human Resources Management — develop critical thinking and strategic skills required for human resource management, while gaining necessary technical knowledge including Human Resource Information and Management System, Systems Applications and Products, data mining and analysis.
Marketing — gain hands-on knowledge to serve as a bridge between strategic corporate objectives and target audiences by applying skills in market research, consumer behaviour, campaign planning, channel oversight and marketing tactics.
Supply Chain Management — explore technical and analytical skills to become a supply chain expert, participate in supply chain strategy and make responsible design decisions.

On-campus Jobs

You can help finance your studies by working at a part-time job on campus at Seneca. If you’re enrolled full time for the term and demonstrate financial need on your Work Study application, you may qualify for the Work Study program. 

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, including six grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%, or a mature applicant.

Required courses with minimum final grade of 70% in each:

  • English: Grade 12 ENG4U
  • Calculus and Vectors: Grade 12 MCV4U 
  • Functions: Grade 12 MHF4U 
  • Physics: Grade 12 SPH4U
  • Chemistry: Grade 12 SCH4U

FOR INDIA
Academic Requirements

  • Minimum grades of 65% in all grade 12 subjects. Must have program-required subjects in final year of high school

Supporting Documents

  • Grade 12 and grade 10 certificate awarded by CBSE or CISCE, with transcript that clearly indicate the grades in percentage. or
  • Grade 12 predictive grades and grades 10 certificate, with transcript that clearly indicate the grades in percentage (for conditional offer only)

Additional Notes

  • Grade 10 math cannot be considered equivalent to grade 12 math
  • Grade 10 science cannot be considered equivalent to grade 12 biology/chemistry

FOR NEPAL
Academic Requirements

  • Minimum grades of 65% (B) in 5 grade XII subjects; must have program-required subjects in final year of high school

FOR BANGLADESH
Academic Requirements

  • Minimum grades of 50% (B or 3) in all higher secondary subjects
  • Must have program required subjects

  • Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) with marksheet
  • Secondary School Certificate (SSC) with marksheet

Additional Notes

  • SSC math cannot be considered equivalent to HSC math
  • SSC science cannot be considered equivalent to HSC biology/chemistry

FOR SRI LANKA
Academic Requirements

  • Minimum grades of B in at least 2 A-level subjects and 4 O-level subjects (including program required subjects)

  • 2 AS levels are accepted in place of 1 A level

FOR BHUTAN
Academic Requirements

  • Minimum grades of 65% in 5 subjects, including program-related subjects
