Bachelor of Business Analytics
Analytical thinking is a part of decision making in business. Spreadsheets and business software have supported business decision making, but due to the complexity of the business and the availability of large data sets, business analytics has emerged as a field to identify patterns and metrics to assist business decisions and draw better conclusions.
The minor in Business Analytics will cover key areas such as:
- data structures and modelling
- automated transactions and decision making using machine learning
- data visualisation
You will also learn to develop and deliver a business data analysis project.
You will graduate with contemporary knowledge and skills of data analytics and an understanding of how to apply these skills in the context of data analytics.

PSW Opportunity
Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
FOR INDIA
Indian School Certificate (issued by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations
- Completed with an overall average of at least 65% average of a minimum of 4 core academic subjects (excluding local language).
All India Senior School (issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education)
- Completed with an overall average of at least 65% average of a minimum of 4 core academic subjects (excluding local language).
Higher Secondary Certificate/ Intermediate Certificate from State Board
- Completed with an overall average of at least 70% Average of a minimum of 4 core academic subjects (excluding local language). Qualifications are assessed on an individual basis.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
You will need to provide evidence that you have achieved one of the following levels of English language proficiency:
- IELTS (Academic module): Overall score of 6.0 (no band less than 6.0)
- TOEFL Internet: Overall score of 67. Section score no less than:
> Listening: 12
> Speaking: 18
> Reading: 15
> Writing: 21 - Pearson Test of English (PTE): Overall score of 50-57 (no section score less than 50)
- University of Cambridge - Advanced (CAE): Overall score of 169. No individual band less than 169.
- VU English - English for Academic Purposes (EAP) (Level 5): achieved.
IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and CAE: These tests must be taken no more than two years prior to commencing your course.
In some cases we will accept test results from other methods of examination not listed above.
