Healthcare MBA
The Healthcare industry is dynamic and presents unique challenges. Demand is high for employee candidates with a passion to improve quality of patient care while effectively managing internal departments and external stakeholders. This program is designed for new college grads and early careerists looking to develop a deep understanding of healthcare and move their career into healthcare and/or hospital management.
The HCMBA curriculum is a balanced blend of MBA and healthcare management-specific courses. The entire program focuses on the application of healthcare business best practices, including courses with hands-on learning projects with area healthcare companies.
An additional characteristic that distinguishes the Massey Graduate School of Business is the personal attention given to each student’s learning needs and professional goals. All faculty are deeply committed to ensuring that the learning environment is effective for each individual.
Features of the HCMBA include:
Students will attend classes on campus in late afternoons (3:00 PM - 5:45 PM) and finish in five semesters allowing time for daytime work, internships and experential learning.
Students with no formal work experience will complete a summer internship between their first and second year.
Students graduating with an internship may apply for post-graduate executive residency programs within hospital systems and healthcare organizations.
Experiential learning events may include professional development seminars, daytime site visits to industry partners, research engagement, and attendance to external networking events.
