A.I. Essentials for Business Certificate
The exponential growth of artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the way for-profit, non-profit, and public sector organizations operate. Klein (2023) argues it is imperative for educators to help students become informed consumers of artificial intelligence. “AI literacy is something that every student needs exposure to - not just those who are planning on a career in computer science” (para. 6). The A.I. Essentials for Business Certificate provides students with a basic understanding of how AI works, experiential activities that explore the technology, and opportunities to discuss ethical issues related to AI.
The A.I. Essentials for Business Certificate provides students from all academic programs with an interdisciplinary opportunity to learn about artificial intelligence in a variety of industries (e.g., healthcare, law enforcement, retail, manufacturing, human resources, agriculture, nonprofits, etc.). Texas A&M University–San Antonio (A&M-SA) seeks an experienced senior administrator with a successful record of higher education leadership and management accomplishments to serve as its next Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer (VPFA). PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
- Minimum TOEFL i-BT score of 80 (in person or Home Edition) from a test date within two years (Texas A&M University does not accept the MyBest TOEFL score)
- Minimum TOEFL Essentials score of 8.5 from a test date within two years (Texas A&M University does not accept the MyBest TOEFL score)
- Minimum SAT Evidence Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) score of 560
- Minimum ACT English score of 21
- Minimum IELTS Academic test score of 6.0 overall band from a test date within two years (Texas A&M University does not accept the IELTS General test)
