Master of Property and Development

The Master of Property and Development is designed to meet the needs of those who want to work at the cutting edge of this industry as it adapts to the requirements of communities, businesses and the environment. You will learn the principles of property development and investment, then apply them across different phases of the industry cycle, achieving successful outcomes in financial viability, risk management and sustainability.

PSW Opportunity
Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
72 UOC Program:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field with a credit average, OR
- Undergraduate degree in any field with a credit average plus 3 years property industry experience at a management level, OR
- Graduate Certificate in Property Development with a credit average.
48 UOC Program:
Additionally students who meet one of the following criteria will receive advanced standing of 24 UOC which is the final research semester. These students will not be required to undertake BENV7020 Research Seminar (6 UOC), REST0018 Research Project (12 UOC) and one 6 UOC elective.
- Honors* degree with a credit average in a related field, OR
- Honors* degree with a credit average in any field plus 3 years property industry experience at the managerial level, OR
- Masters degree in a related field with a credit average
Related fields: Studies in built environment disciplines, engineering, business or law.
*An Honours degree usually consists of a year-long research program as part of a Bachelor's degree, either as an addition to a general Bachelor’s degree or an embedded program in the final year of a specialised Bachelor's degree. In the Honours degree, students shall complete selected courses within a supervised program of research (either field, laboratory, archival exploration or design based), and produce a high-quality research thesis or design work which is marked/graded. The Honours degree requires students to demonstrate advanced disciplinary knowledge through independent or self-directed research and critical thinking as required by the Australian Quality Framework (AQF) level 8.
