BBA - Global Business Ambassadors
The Global Business Ambassadors program attracts highly motivated, focused, and intellectually curious students who have a global perspective. The program provides the opportunity for future leaders in the world economy to develop a global business skill set through international study, travel, and work experiences.
A Global Business Ambassadors student has the opportunity to participate in ceremonies, networking events, dedicated courses, special corporate seminars, and placement services. A Global Business Ambassadors student will graduate with Honors recognition. Students joining the Global Business Ambassadors program are expected to join the IB Honors Society, the community/social responsibility arm of the program that engages students in compelling international service-learning projects.
The IB Department faculty highly recommend that students selected for the Global Business Ambassadors program pursue a double-major in Marketing or Finance.

Job Opportunity Potential
Global growth is shifting to emerging markets, with dramatically different economic, political and social systems. Estimates show that 70 percent of world growth over the next few years will come from emerging markets, with China and India accounting for 40 percent of that growth. Professionals with international business and multicultural knowledge will be in high demand. Job prospects are best for those with a broad-based understanding of the new challenges that international companies face, including the growing impact of social media on business communication across borders and nations (Occupational Handbook, Bureau of Labor Statistics).
PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Provide your high school transcripts
The Office of Admissions will only accept electronic high school transcripts if sent directly from the school or counselor. If your transcripts are not in English, you must also submit an official translation of your transcript along with the original documents.
Accepted transcripts: Faster, Naviance, SMART/Joint Service Transcript, Parchment, Credentials eScript-Safe, direct email from a verified school administrator.
Demonstrate English-language proficiency
Applicants from non-English speaking countries, including internationally educated domestic students, must demonstrate proficiency in English.
For direct admission to FIU, international first time in college students are not required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores.
Students are required to meet the Florida Board of Governors requirements for the college readiness largely determined by their SAT or ACT sub-section scores in Verbal/Reading and English sections. If students meet these sub-section scores and have the appropriate GPA, they are academically qualified for admission to FIU.
