Nursing (Adult) BSc (Hons)
Adult nursing is a career that asks a lot of you - and gives a lot back. You'll be there for people during some of the hardest moments of their lives, and the work matters. Our BSc Adult Nursing degree mixes simulation-based learning on campus with clinical placements at some of London's leading hospitals, so you finish the course ready to step onto a ward as a registered nurse.
Your time is split evenly between the university and clinical settings. On campus, you'll learn in small groups using advanced mannequins and simulated wards, working through real patient cases with tutors who've done the job themselves. On placement, you'll put that learning into practice - in hospitals, in the community, and alongside independent and voluntary organisations through our partnerships.
We were ranked first in London for "Teaching on my Course" in the National Student Survey 2025, which we're proud of. You'll learn how to recognise when something isn't right, how to manage it, and how to care for patients and the people around them. By the end, you'll have the skills and the confidence to do the job well.
- Train in our state-of-the-art Hospital & Primary Care Training Hub, built around immersive simulation
- Complete placements at prestigious London NHS hospitals including the Royal London and St Bartholomew's, with community pathways also available
- This programme (not including the Foundation Year) is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), the professional regulatory body for nurses. Once you graduate with Adult Nursing (BSc), you’ll be eligible to register as a nurse with the NMC.
