Graduate Certificate in Integrated Water Management

This program aims to build the capacity of future leaders in water management. Students will develop the strategic, managerial, and technical skills they need to advance in the water sector. The program equips students with practical tools and skills for developing and managing the adoption of innovative solutions to local, regional, national, and international water management issues.

There is a focus on building skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, statistics and data management, knowledge transfer, and effective leadership. The program is managed and led by the International WaterCentre (IWC). The IWC is a key player in the global water sector and dedicated to providing education and training to promote whole-of-water cycle approaches to integrated water management around the world.

PSW Opportunity

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Integrated Water Management, applicants must hold:

  • a Bachelor degree in a field relevant to water management
    OR
  • a minimum of one year practical experience in a related field.
