Graduate Certificate in Business
The Graduate Certificate in Business is for those who want to advance their career, formalise their industry experience, or up-skill and move into a business-focused role within their field. This course covers key business areas including accounting, financial management, organisational behaviour and marketing management.
The Graduate Certificate in Business caters for both professional and lifestyle commitments by giving students the choice to study on campus at Wollongong or Sydney CBD, or online. Students who select to study online can choose from two delivery modes:
- Distance delivery refers to learning activities that do not require you to attend campus, but instead allow you to join pre-scheduled virtual classes.
- Online delivery refers to virtual study at your own pace with academic support.
Students undertaking the program have access to a full suite of support services including:
- Access to dedicated course director
- Extensive online library resources, including business journals, electronic books and business databases
- Career and job-seeking assistance, including a specialist careers consultant who is accessible for up to two years after you graduate.

PSW Opportunity
Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- A recognised bachelor's or master's degree, or
- a tertiary academic qualification with duration of at least 3 years’ full- time equivalent, or
- applicants with 3 years’ fulltime equivalent managerial/professional work experience.
The faculty will consider applicants with 7 years’ full-time equivalent general work experience on a case by case basis.
