M.Sc - Transforming and Leading in Health Care - Module
This program aims to equip students who are front line clinicians or have roles in management and leadership in healthcare. As health care provider becomes increasingly complex, with greater demand for services and more people with multiple long term conditions plus the shortages of skilled professionals, there is a growing importance on how health care needs to improve and transform.
What's covered in the course?
The overall aim of this program is for you to continue to develop yourself and your leadership and management skills by understanding and reflecting on people's and team’s behaviours and their effect on an organization’s development and its ability to improve. The program explores global health challenges and their relevance to your everyday practice. This will develop your research and leadership skills to enhance your critical thinking.
This program’s core modules can be studied individually or can be combined into a Postgraduate Certificate. You can study 3 additional modules and gain a Postgraduate Diploma, and to achieve a Master's Degree you are also required to undertake the Dissertation module.

City South Campus
City South Campus in Edgbaston, to the south of the City Centre, is home to our Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences. We have a wide range of courses in health and social care, education (teacher training and non-teacher training), life sciences, and sport, and our students benefit from practical learning facilities – from a mock operating theatre and hospital wards, laboratories and sports clinics, and specialised education facilities.

PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
An honours degree of a British University or equivalent institution (minimum 2:2) OR An equivalent graduate level qualification from an overseas university or equivalent institution (minimum 2:2)
Employment experience of 2 years or more and a personal statement is required.
Students should have previous level 6 awards or provide evidence of equivalent study. International students will also additionally require an IELTS score of 6 in all of the exam domains.
If you have not previously studied at level 6 you will be offered the opportunity, (if considered appropriate), prior to commencement of a module to write a reflective piece on how the module/programme would benefit and progress your professional development and how this would impact on your service/organisation.
