The objective of the course is to give the students initial professional orientation in issues of urbanization and city planning through the following key topic: Urbanization; Types of Urban Settlements; Urban Economy; Urban Sociology; Urbanization and Natural Environment; Urban Land Use Planning; Planning System of Turkey; Urban Design and Planning Process; Development Plans; Historic Preservation; and Professional Ethics.
